Arthur's Stones are the remnants of a Bronze Age stone circle up in the hills above Barmouth. They marked an important junction of the old drovers route from Talybont & Harlech to Bontddu & Dolgellau and the route from Llanaber (Nr Barmouth) to Bontddu.
The clip offers dramatic views from Bwlch y Rhiwgyr in all directions so as to form a complete panorama. It looks
south west down towards Barmouth Bay
to the south, down on to the Afon Mawddach estuary
to Rhinog Fawr/ Fach and Moelfre (to the north)
and of course across the estuary to Cader Idris (to the south)
It also features long distance shots to the north east over Tremadog Bay towards the Lleyn peninsula
and just before the end gives a glimpse of Snowdon and even tells the viewer that s/he is five miles from Tal Y Bont!
